Changing Header Banner

In the config.txt file, type the path to the header banner:
# Changing Header Banner

file.import.listNum = 0
file.import.override.field = media

As in our case, if no other picture is selected, the file banner.jpg is uploaded and shown at the page.

Now activate the setup.txt file, the marker is already present in the HTML template.
Simply remove the comment character:
# subparts.BANNER <temp.toppic change
subparts.BANNER <temp.toppic

To change the Site type, select Erweitert.

Now we have the banner on Site2. Scroll down a bit and click on the folder icon:

Click banner2.jpg or the image you created yourself.

Save the page and delete the cache.
Click the Show website, the graphic should change now from Site1 to Site2.
Enjoy the website!

Importing t3d file

Create a folder in the folder fileadmin templates:
fileadmin / templates
Unzip TPL_transition.zip into the folder fileadmin / templates / transition /

Click on the globe and choose Importieren aus .t3d

Click Upload tab and then Durchsuchen (Browse) and select the unzipped file transition.t3d

Click Upload

Open the Import tab and check the alle UID Werte erzwingen, and if you want to preview, click Vorschau. Then click Import.

First, install the Typo3 CMS

Install TYPO3

In the folder templates, сreate a new folder fileadmin.
Unzip the folder TPL_transition.zip to fileadmin/templates/.

Create Folder Templates

Create the following site structure.

Select Template from the menu, or click Create template for a new website.

Edit Constants and Setup

Open the install.txt file in the folder fileadmin/templates/transition/

Copy the text in the #CONSTANTS and paste it the corresponding field. Click Update. Then, copy the #CONFIGURATION text and paste it to the Setup field.

Select Template menu. Click here to edit whole template and configure the corresponding image.

Click Show website. As you see, the top right menu is missing on the page screenshot.

There is a main menu with all templates, in Transition it’s the blue menu on the left, where the typoscriptdatei menu.txt or menu_links.txt or menu_oben.txt is assigned.

The footer menu is always file menu_unten.txt, but it does not come with Transition. Yet Transition has a top menu, which is the file menu_top.txt. Edit them and put into the subfolder Trenner with id 15.

The id must always be checked and adjusted accordingly, unless you import the t3d file first.

Save the file. Show Clear the cache in TYPO3 and click on web page.
The top menu appears.

Edit the file config.txt:

TYPO3 CMS

This is my first post at TYPO3 Pedia, and it’s for those users who are new to TYPO3 CMS.

TYPO3 is a free content management system developed by TYPO3.org. The main advantage of TYPO3 is its ease in usage.  It is bit difficult to learn but once you learn this CMS you can develop websites more faster. Personally I enjoy learning and developing with TYPO3 as this is the most powerful CMS I have ever worked with.

TYPO3 CMS is very fast to create static and/or dynamic websites due to features integrated to it.  These are the most important of them:

1. Faster development.
2. Easy Extensions.
3. Possibility to develop your own extensions.
4. User-friendly interface.

As I said earlier, TYPO3 is very fast while developing websites, let me explain one point with respect to its speed.
* Once you finished your template mapping and/or menus creation, you can create new pages in just 3-4 clicks.Can you imagine its speed.
* Page contents (say different paragraphs/images/graphic media) can be treated as separate element and thus developer can edit/delete any piece of these paragraphs.
* Developer can easily Show/Hide these separate elements in single click.
* Any of these contents can be copied from one page to other page. Isn’t it great.
